I think you may like his book, and Jiyong also would like his book.

I felt same feeling with you when I read Philip's book first.
His book seemed to be somewhat difficult to understand. However, he has insigt, intuition and experience about God. As he knows God, his words may touch my head and heart.

His writing style is so logical. If I do not study social science, I would feel uncomfortable and hard to follow his logic.

Anyway, he is so straighfoward, and says something many christians want to avoid and cannot see. That's his style and merit, I think.

I recommend another person. He is Henri Nouwen who was a Philip's friend. He died a few years ago. His writing style is totally opposit to Philip's, kind of spiritual, but is not same other writers who introduce spiritual aspect of christianity.

Usually, his books are a little thin, and use familiar words such as love, friend, healer, holy spirit, and solitude, but his words tell something in depth. So, sometimes I felt his book was more difficult than Philip's

I really want to follow Heri's life style since he showed me how to live as a christian in this world.
